Terms of Service

Welcome to Lucas Auto Center LLC, located in Van Nuys, California. By using our website or requesting automotive services, you acknowledge the following service terms, subject to applicable California law.

1. Automotive Services

We provide automotive diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, air conditioning services, and specialty vehicle A/C installations.

2. Estimates and Authorization

Customers receive estimates as required by California law. No diagnostic or repair work will begin without customer authorization. Additional repairs or charges require prior authorization.

3. Diagnostic Fees

Standard A/C diagnostic service is generally $90 unless otherwise quoted. The diagnostic charge may be credited toward approved A/C repairs completed within 30 days. Electrical diagnostics and specialized testing may be charged separately.

4. Payment

Payment for authorized services is due when the vehicle is ready for release unless other arrangements have been agreed upon. Applicable taxes and authorized fees may be added.

5. Parts and Warranty

New and remanufactured parts supplied and installed by Lucas Auto Center generally carry a limited warranty of 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first, subject to the written warranty terms provided for the repair.

Customer-supplied parts are not warranted by Lucas Auto Center. Any applicable workmanship warranty will be identified separately. Warranty limitations are subject to applicable law.

6. Vehicle Storage

Customers are expected to retrieve their vehicles promptly after receiving notice of completion or other applicable notification. A storage fee of $215 per day may apply after a three-day grace period, only when properly disclosed and legally permitted. All storage fees must comply with California law and applicable reasonable-rate requirements.

7. Additional Repairs

If additional problems are discovered during diagnosis or repair, Lucas Auto Center will contact the customer and request authorization before performing additional chargeable work.

8. Vehicle Release and Liens

Vehicle release, payment obligations, and any mechanic's lien rights are governed by applicable California law. Nothing in these terms creates a lien or authorizes charges beyond those legally permitted.
